BREEAM Land Use and Ecology and Code for Sustainable Homes Ecology Assessments

EMEC Ecology have carried out Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM Ecology and Land Use assessments throughout the Midlands with recent projects undertaken within Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

BREEAM Assessments

The BREEAM family of assessment methods and tools are all designed to help construction professionals understand and mitigate the environmental impacts of the developments they design and build. BREEAM provides a credible environmental label for buildings and allows developments to be recognised according to their environmental benefits.

The Code for Sustainable Homes

Implemented in May 2008, the Government confirmed a mandatory rating as a single national standard to guide industry in the design and construction of sustainable homes. The Code for Sustainable Homes is an environmental assessment method for new homes and has six mandatory performance levels in key areas. The code can guarantee to deliver environmental savings in specific areas like water and energy. EMEC Ecology has undertaken surveys and assessment in relation to Chapter 9: Ecology of the code.

How to Book an BREEAM Land Use and Ecology or Code for Sustainable Homes Ecology Assessment

EMEC Ecology work with many different clients from large council development projects to single building developments. Each survey will therefore be specific to a site and the costs will vary accordingly. EMEC Ecology will be happy to provide a quotation for a survey for BREEAM or Code for Sustainable Homes that will be both efficient and cost effective to the site specifics. Reports are produced as soon as possible however should you have a specific date for submission, we will do our utmost to accommodate this.

If you require a quotation please send an email to us at mail@emec-ecology.co.uk including any site plans that you have available (or details and photographs of the site if applicable) with details of the proposed development plans of the site, along with your name and contact details.
